John William Morris, 75, Dies
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 until 8 p.m. The funeral service will be Sunday, Sept. 29, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Douglasville with Dr. John Pennington officiating.
John William Morris, 75 of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 26. He was born Dec. 30, 1937 in Douglasville. Mr. Morris was the owner of Morris Tire Company in Douglasville for 51 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Douglasville.
Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Maude Cochran Morris; and a brother, Neal Morris.
He is survived by his wife, Margy Morris; sons, Jay Morris and his wife, Pam, James Morris and his wife, April, Jeff Morris and his wife, Tammy; daughter, Jill DePriest and her husband, Charles; grandchildren, Britney Morris, Tyler Morris, Abby Morris, Brennan Morris, Parker Morris, Kellan Morris and Caroline DePriest; brother, Larry Morris and his wife Janice; nephews, Brad Morris and William Morris.
