John Ira Pruitt, age 53, of Winston

Mr. John Ira Pruitt, age 53, of Winston, passed away suddenly on July 7, 2014.  He was born in Covington, Georgia on December 8, 1960, the son of the late Charles Pruitt and the late Joyce Nellie Sells Pruitt.  He was a painter for the Fulton County School System and was a member of the Ephesus Baptist Church in Villa Rica.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers: Larry, Michael, Jimmy, and Ricky.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Lynn Pruitt, of Winston; children, John Dylan and Alexandria Pruitt, Melissa Marie Pruitt, Ashley Blair and her husband, Josh; grandsons: Luke and Landon Blair; sisters, Laura, Norma, Patsy, and Bonnie; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Amy Pruitt of Hutto, TX, Frank and Roya Pruitt of Grayson, GA, Tim and Julie Pruitt of Nashville, TN, and Chuck Pruitt, many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. from Ephesus Baptist Church with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour.

In accordance with his wishes, his body was cremated.
