Jamie 'Jim' Morris, 63: Lifelong Douglasville Resident, Trophy Hunter Club Member

Visitation will be at Whitley-Garner at Resthaven Funeral Home on Sunday, with a funeral service Monday at its chapel.

Mr. Jamie ‘Jim’ Lee Morris, age 63, of Douglasville, GA passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013.

He was born Oct. 9, 1949 in Douglasville, GA, son of the late Roscoe and Sara Miller Morris.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Reba Keaton

Jim was a Douglasville resident all of his life, was a 1969 graduate of Douglas County High School, was a member of the Trophy Hunting Club, and was Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, Marvelene Morris of Douglasville, GA; sisters, Evelyn Monroe of Buchanan, Carolyn Gaston of Tallapoosa, GA and Joyce Walker and her husband Michael of Lithia Springs, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 5 PM until 8 p.m.  The funeral service will be Monday, July 8, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Rosehaven Chapel with.  Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
