Geraldine Marie Brown Stoughton, 91, Dies

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 4 until 8 p.m.

Geraldine Marie Brown Stoughton, 91, of Temple, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica. She was born Feb. 28, 1921 in Butler, PA. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother. She cherished her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Raymond “Pops” Stoughton; son, John Stoughton; great-granddaughter, Krystal Swartzenberger; sisters, Jane Lynn and Jeanette Brown and brother, William Brown.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Jane Wallace of Temple; four sons, Kenneth Stoughton of Dallas, Larry Stoughton of Bremen, Steve Stoughton of Carrollton and Charles “Chuck” Stoughton of Temple; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 4 until 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 3:30 p.m. from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Steve Starkie and Rev. Tim Wautelet officiating. Interment will follow at Melrose Hills Memorial Park.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Lee Wallace, David Matthews, Austin Wallace, Charles R. Stoughton, Zach Jenkins, and Scott Greenwalt.
