Eugene Cook, 75, Dies

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 4 until 7 p.m.

Eugene Cook, 75 of Carrollton, passed away on Friday morning, Jan. 10. He was born Feb. 10, 1938 in Carrollton, the son of the late Walter and Minnie Cook. He was retired from Southwire with over 30 years of service and was a member of Ephesus Christian Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ford Cook; brother, Junior Cook and sister, Mattie Holloway.

Survivors include his children: Lesia Hawn (Ronnie) of Carrollton and Herschell Lee Blair, Jr. (Donna) of Morrow, Georgia; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Min. J. C. Cook and Chaplain Herschell Blair officiating. Those serving as pallbearers will be Keith Cook, Brian Cook, Kevin Carnes, Tim Cook, Dan Cook, and Steven Kennedy. Interment will follow in Ephesus Ch ristian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 4 until 7 p.m. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff for the excellent care given to Paw Paw during his time at Carrollton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
