Estelita Balisang Bacanto, 83, Dies

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Sunday, March 24, from 6:30 until 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, March 25, at 11 a.m.

Estelita Balisang Bacanto, 83 of Powder Springs, passed away Thursday, March 21. She was born Oct. 5, 1929 in Pilar Capiz, Philippines. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic Faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fedilino Bacanto; daughter, Leonie Canina; and son, Johnito Bacanto. She is survived by her daughters, Celna Horowitz, Editha Belamor, Nonita Bacanto, Merlie Mayer, Merlita Bacanto, Mercelinda Bacanto and Mayla Hurt; sons, Carlito Bacanto, Benedicto Bacanto, and Jaime Bacanto; sisters, Wilfreda and Priscilla; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Sunday, March 24, from 6:30 until 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, March 25, at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Father Jude Michael officiating. Entombment will be at a later date at Pilar Cemetery in the Philippines.
