Emelyn Anna 'Lynn' Harrelson, 86, Dies

Emelyn Anna “Lynn” Harrelson, 86 of Douglasville passed away on Saturday, Oct. 12. She was born in Franklin County, GA., on Oct. 16, 1926 to the late Doyle J. Tatum and the late Anna Belle Peace Tatum. She was a member of Sunset Hills Baptist Church and she was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Leon Harrelson; son, Gary Harrelson; sisters, Flossie Crankshaw, Naomi Goodwin, Lucy Scarbrough, Elsie Campbell, Gladys Moody; brothers, Harlan Tatum, Ernest Tatum, Floyd Tatum, Bill Tatum, Lambert Tatum.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sue Harrelson of Winston; sister, Bertha Hudgens of Fayetteville; brother, Donald Tatum of College Park; grandchildren, Katie and Nick Long of Douglasville, Jodi and Chris Goodwin of Douglasville; great-grandson, Jacob Goodwin and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Reverend Ikey Watson officiating. A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5775 Mallory Road, College Park, Georgia 30349, at 2:00 pm Wednesday afternoon.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
