Edward Charles Bishop, Jr., 71, Dies

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. from  Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating.

Edward Charles Bishop, Jr., 71 of Winston, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10.  He was born June 27, 1941 in Atlanta to the late Edward Charles Bishop, Sr., and Carol Lock Bishop. He was self employed during his career as a residential contractor and was a member of the Ephesus Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Edward Charles Bishop, Sr., and Carol Lock Bishop, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Arminda Samples Bishop.

Survivors are his sons and daughters-in-law: Edward Charles and Pamela Bishop III of Douglasville, Scott Hiram and Laura Bishop of Villa Rica; brother and sister-in-law:  Ricky and Joanna Bishop of Clayton County; grandchildren: Chip Bishop, Ethan Tipton, Chase Bishop and Zachary Bishop; great grandchildren: Madison Bishop and Luke Bishop.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating. 

In accordance with his wishes, his body will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mr. Bishop at the Edward Charles Bishop, Jr., Memorial Fund c/o Hightower’s Memorial Chapel, 7034 Broad Street, Douglasville, GA  30134.
