Edna Hogan Harris, 95, Dies

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 19, at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Pastor Milton Ker officiating.

Edna Hogan Harris, 95 of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, at her home. She was born Sept. 6, 1917 in College Park, the daughter of the late Benjamin F. Hogan and the late Katie Mae Smith Hogan. She married Milton P. Harris on June 14, 1941 in Atlanta. She was a homemaker and devoted to her family. She was a lifelong member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton P. Harris; son, Dennis Michael β€œMike” Harris; and brother, Jack F. Hogan and Rowland M. Hogan.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Frank Jordan of Douglasville; three grandchildren and their spouses, Traci and Joe Steward of Carrollton, Christopher Harris of Stockbridge, and Lindsay and Marty Moore of McDonough; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, today from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 19, at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Pastor Milton Ker officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park with Pastor Mark Ernst officiating.
