Earnest Ray, Jr., 79, Dies

Earnest Ray, Jr., 79 of Dallas, passed away, Tuesday, Aug 27. He was born July 3, 1934 in Newnan, to the late Earnest Ray, Sr., and Mary Bell Landers Knight. He worked during his career as a mechanic and truck driver for the C & C Trucking Co. He was Baptist by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Key Ray, and son, Earnest Ray, III.

Survivors are his daughters and sons-in-law: Bonnie and David Mullins of Dallas, Betty and David Bishop of Temple, Brenda and Kenny Bullard of Covington; daughter-in-law: Jennifer Ray of Villa Rica; sister: Shirley Lowery of Carrollton; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral Service was held Friday, Aug 30, from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel.  Interment followed in the Mozley Memorial Gardens with Ernest Ray, Jonathan Ray, Kenny Bullard, Tim Ray and Nick Strickland serving as Pallbearers.
