Donald G. Klingensmith, Jr., 66, Air Force Vet Formerly of Douglasville

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 13, at 2 p.m. at Hightower's Memorial Chapel in Douglasville.

Mr. Donald G. Klingensmith, Jr., age 66, of Temple, formerly of Douglasville, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014.

He was born in Brackenridge, Pennsylvania, on November 25, 1947, the son of the late, Donald G. Klingensmith, Sr. and the late Catherine Jean Hilliard Klingensmith.

He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Delhi University and worked for American General until his retirement in 2012. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a Methodist by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Donna Ostraski.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Connie Gilbert Klingensmith of Temple; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Jason Lucas of Douglasville; son, Charles Wesley Weaver of Dallas; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Harry Humes of Sarver, P.A.; brother and sister-in-law, David and Tobi Klingensmith of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Madalyn Makay Lucas, Caleb Brock Lucas, and Joshua Braden Lucas.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel in Douglasville with Minister David Gilbert officiating. Military Funeral Honors will be provided by the United States Air Force.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 12:00-2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

A reception will follow the service in Hightower’s Family Care Center.

In accordance with Mr. Klingensmith’s wishes, his body was cremated.
