Danny O'Neal Nesbitt, Sr., 76

Danny O’Neal Nesbitt, Sr. passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014. He was born in Mableton, Georgia on August 10, 1937 to Sherman and Fannie Nesbitt. He graduated from South Cobb High School in 1957. He worked for Cobb County government and as a local businessman until his retirement in 1995. Danny lived in Cobb County throughout his entire life and was a life-long member of the Church of Christ. 

Survivors include children, Dan and wife Cathy Nesbitt of Douglasville, Robby and wife Robin Nesbitt of Englewood, TN, Leslie Nesbitt of Acworth and Kristi and husband Scott Stephenson of Hickory, NC; brothers W.S. Nesbitt, Jr. of Smyrna, Billy Nesbitt of Mableton, Jimmy Nesbitt of Mableton, and sister Diane Nails of Lithia Springs; grandchildren Matt, Josh, Rachel, Rebekah, Jennifer, Danielle, Ty, Nathan, Will and Olivia; and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Lois Brooks Nesbitt, and his grandson Jacob. 

The family received friends on Sunday, July 20, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. The funeral service will be held Monday, July 21, 2014 at 11 A.M. at White Columns Funeral Chapel in Mableton. Internment will follow at Barber Cemetery in Mableton.
