Chance Reece, 17, Dies

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 10, from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Randy Shirley officiating.

Chance Reece, 17 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, June 6. He was born Jan. 23, 1996 in Austell. Chance was an incoming senior at Villa Rica High School and was a member of the ROTC. He attended Shady Grove Baptist Church. Chance loved animals, video games and martial arts. He displayed an artistic talent, enjoyed drawing, was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing basketball and dodge ball.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Betty Hunt. Survivors include his mother, Karona Reece of Carrollton; sister, Miranda Reece of Carrollton; uncles and aunts: Melvin & Myra Hunt, Barbara Sullivan, and Connie Hunt, all of Douglasville; and a number of cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 10, from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Randy Shirley officiating. Those serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Sullivan, Blake Snorff, Greggory Leese, William Leese, Austin Traynor, Eric McIn tyre and Zachariah Everhart. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. in the Noonday Baptist Church Cemetery in Woodstock. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 until 6 p.m.
