She was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved and served her family for her entire life. She was married to her husband for sixty-two years. Together they loved to dance and loved music. If the high school band was performing, she was there. She attended countless piano recitals and Barbershop Harmony concerts when not on soccer and softball fields with family. Catherine was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church, Marietta for thirty years. She also loved her church family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Snelling, Jr., and one brother, Robert W. Gayhart, Jr. of Beaver Falls, PA.
