Carol Fekete Dorris, 56, Dies

The funeral service will be Saturday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. in the Rosehaven Chapel with Father Edward Warner officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park.

Carol Fekete Dorris, 56 of Alexandria, VA., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8. She was born June 26, 1957 in Tonawanda, NY., and grew up in Monroeville, PA.

Mrs. Dorris was a graduate of Penn State University and she received her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law. She spent the majority of her career advocating for victims law. She was involved in her community and brought smiles to the faces of so many people on a daily basis. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school and spent countless hours supporting her children’s school and sporting events.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Fekete.

She is survived by her husband, Greg Dorris; children, Luke Dorris, Amanda Dorris, and Courtland Dorris; mother, Nancy Fekete; sister, Karen Frye and husband Barry; niece, Jordan Greene; nephew, Brett Frye and wife Trinity; and great-niece, Harper Greene.

Carol will have a memorial service on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2911 Cameron Mills Rd., Alexandria, VA., 22302, (703) 549-5500.
