Bernice Lavell Jenkins, 72, Dies

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Jan. 11, from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Cook and Rev. Vance Hardegree officiating.

Bernice Lavell Jenkins, 72 of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8. She was born Oct. 12, 1940 in Carrollton, to Hubert Jenkins and Allie Mae Eady. She retired as a seamstress with Chalk Line and was a homemaker and loving mother. She was a member of South Street Congregational Holiness Church.

Besides her parents, preceding her in death is daughter, Rita Robin Rayburn; and brothers, Billy Jenkins, Denver Jenkins, Jack Jenkins, and David Jenkins. Survivors include daughters, Jane Lambert and Gwen Edwards both of Carrollton; son Keith Rayburn (Stacey) of Carrollton; daughter, Kim Blair (Curtis) of Bremen; daughter, Michelle Collins (David) of Carrollton; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Jan. 11, from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Cook and Rev. Vance Hardegree officiating. Interment followed in West Georgia Memorial Park.
