Bernice Lavell Jenkins, 72 of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday,
Jan. 8. She was born Oct. 12, 1940 in Carrollton, to Hubert Jenkins and Allie Mae Eady. She retired as a
seamstress with Chalk Line and was a homemaker and loving mother. She
was a member of South Street Congregational Holiness Church.
parents, preceding her in death is daughter, Rita Robin Rayburn; and
brothers, Billy Jenkins, Denver Jenkins, Jack Jenkins, and David
Jenkins. Survivors include daughters, Jane Lambert and Gwen Edwards both
of Carrollton; son Keith Rayburn (Stacey) of Carrollton; daughter, Kim
Blair (Curtis) of Bremen; daughter, Michelle Collins (David) of
Carrollton; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Jan. 11, from
Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Cook and Rev.
Vance Hardegree officiating. Interment followed in West Georgia
