Army Vet W. B. Price, 89, Dies

W. B. Price, 89 of Douglasville, passed away, Monday, Sept. 16. He was born April 22, 1924 in Bowdon, to the late William Barto Price and Otis Shinn Price. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army WWII, worked for Lockheed as an aircraft manufacturing planner. He was a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church of Lithia Springs, Board of Education for eight years, the Ruritan Club and Masonic Lodge.

Survivors are his wife of 72 years, Jimmie Lou Craft Price of Douglasville; daughter: Janet Elaine Price Deal of Douglasville; sons & daughters-in-law: Kenneth Edward and Phyllis Price of Austell, Richard Arlen and Sandra Miles Price of Wayne, PA, Gary Warren and Lois Price of Falls Church, PA; grandchildren: Stephen Kenneth Price, Robert Daniel Price, Carlos Williams Price-Sanchez, Richard Alejandro Price-Sanchez, Amy Rebecca Deal Thigpen, Anna Elizabeth Deal Poe, Leah Sarah Price and Melanie Katherine Price; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 3 nieces and 2 nephews.

Funeral Service were held on Wednesday, Sept. 18, from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Talmage Chandler and Rev. Ken Hennessy officiating. Music will be rendered by Doug McHenry. Interment followed in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Stephen Price, Danny Price, Robert Poe, Lonnie Thigpen, Mike King, Tim Alley, Carlos William Price-Sanchez and Richard Alejandro Price-Sanchez, serving as Pallbearers. The graveside service will be private for the family.
