Army Vet Hugh Marshall Morgan, 88, Dies

The family will receive friends from noon until service time at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at White Columns Funeral Chapel in Mableton with Rev. Hubert B. Prewett officiating.

Hugh Marshall Morgan, 88, passed away early in the morning on Thursday, Nov. 1, at Wellstar-Tranquility Community Hospice in Austell.

Hugh was born to William and Lula Morgan on Feb. 20, 1924 in Atlanta. Hugh served his country during WWII through the United States Army.

He was a proud member of the American Legion as well as a beloved member of Brownwood Baptist Church in Mableton.

Hugh had managed Coursey Broom Company and later owned and operated his own TV repair shop.

Hugh Marshall Morgan is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Cook Morgan; daughter, Debbie and her husband Danny Bobo of Canton; grandsons, Matt Bobo and his wife Crystal, Corey Bobo and his wife Jamie, and Blake Bobo and his wife Jennifer; great-granddaughters, Brooke, Kaya, and Maggie Drew; great-grandsons, Bailey, Brady, and Maddux; and his church family at Brownwood Baptist.

The family will receive friends from noon until service time at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at White Columns Funeral Chapel in Mableton with Rev. Hubert B. Prewett officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs.
