Army Vet, Harold Penland Jr. Dies

Harold Penland, Jr., age 63, of Kennesaw passed away Monday, July 30. Born July 20, 1949 in Houston, TX, son of the late Harold Penland, Sr. and Rosealie Penland. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and received numerous medals for his heroism.

Survived by wife, Terry Penland; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Brendan LaSalle; son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Patricia Penland; mother, Rosealie Penland; siblings, Diane and Donald Long, Hester and Jackie Brooks, Deborah and Martin Abbott, Phyllis Howell, Thomas Penland, Patrick Penland, Peter Penland; one grandchild, Kelbie Penland and several nieces and nephews.

Viewing at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglasville, was today. Funeral Services will followed at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home.
