Army Vet Charles Ludie Williamson, 65, Dies

Charles Ludie Williamson, 65 of Carrollton, passed away Saturday, April 27, at his residence. He was born May 19, 1947 to Ludie Crosby Williamson and Leona Helen Wilbanks Williamson. He served in the U.S. Army and was self employed as a truck driver for more than 40 years. He was a member of Lowell United Methodist Church and also attended Community Bible Church in Stockbridge, GA.

Preceding him in death is his father, Ludie Crosby Williamson; and a sister, Loretta Sanders. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Williamson, daughter and son in law, Candace Ranee and Joe Wertzberger of McDonough, Ga.; son and daughter in law, Charles Randal and Kim Williamson of Blue Ridge, Ga.; son and daughter in law, Brandon Wayne and Jonelle Williamson of Forest Park; fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 1, from Lowell United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Constien and Pastor Ron Driver officiating. The body was placed in state at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Lowell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of Know My Heart Ministry.
