Army Vet Bill 'PawPaw' Kimberly, 66, Dies

Mr. Kimberly was cremated and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 21, from 1 to 2 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Rosehaven Chapel with Michael Kimberly officiating.

Bill ‘PawPaw’ Kimberly, 66 of Douglasville, passed away Friday, Oct. 18. He was born Jan. 29, 1947 in College Park. He was a graduate of Devry and Central Carolina Technical School.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country as a member of the Green Berets during the Vietnam Conflict.  He was a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces Command (Airborne).

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Kimberly; daughter, Tonya Leath; son, Michael Kimberly and wife Tanya; daughter, Bonnie Hardy and husband Duyane; brother, Richard Kimberly; grandchildren, Alicia, Austin, Blake, Madeline, Joseph, John Michael, Matthew, Daniel and Noah; his mother, Virginia Kimberly; and several step-brothers and step-sisters.
