Alice Driver Hudgins Tate, 87, Dies

The family will receive friends, Saturday, Oct. 20, from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Alice Driver Hudgins Tate, 87 of Molina, GA, formerly Douglasville, passed away Oct. 18.  She was born June 6, 1925 in Atlanta to the late Walter Driver and Nellie Miller Driver. She worked during her career as a waitress and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Canaan Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Walter Driver and Nellie Driver, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hudgins, Sr., daughter, Kathy Cole, son, Walter Hudgins, Jr., sister, Pauline Driver Worthan and brother, Gordy Driver.

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Jerry Welch, son and daughter-in-law: Gerald and Nancy Hudgins, sons: Earl Hudgins and Ricky Hudgins and son-in-law: Kenneth Cole. She is survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Douglasville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, Oct. 20, from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
