Looking for some great ideas to improve your home or garden? Then don’t miss the Westside Home Builders Association’s Remodeling and Garden Expo, which runs from Friday, April 27, through Sunday, April 29.
The Expo drew over 2,500 visitors in 2010, and this year promises to be even bigger and better. You’ll find 75 exhibitor booths; do-it-yourself demos; and programs about doing your own remodeling, or hiring professional contractors.
There will also be speakers from the Douglas County Master Gardeners Club, and I’m happy that they’ve asked me to discuss gardening and my book, Gardening with Heirloom Seeds. I’ll give a Power Point presentation you won’t want to miss, as it’s filled with beautiful pictures of flowers, fruits, and vegetables. I’ll speak from 2:00 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28.
(I’ve heard that the Varsity will be there for lunch that day, from noon to 2 p.m., so come early, grab a chili dog or a naked steak–that’s a hamburger–and then sit and digest while you learn about planting heirlooms!).
Watch my blog for more info as it becomes available. The Expo will be held in the Market Square Shopping Center, about 1 and 1/2 blocks south of Exit 34 on Interstate 20. The address is 9503 Highway 5, Douglasville, GA 30135.
EXPO tickets are $5.00 for adults and children under 18 are admitted FREE. Parking is FREE.
I’ll post more about speakers, programs, and demonstrations as details become available, so check back!
