Tying the Knot, Cutting the Ribbon

Couple Becomes One, Pursues Shared Dream

On the heels of their July wedding, Lance and Lonoia Brooks celebrated the ribbon-cutting of their business, Lance Brooks International (LBI), on August 16, 2011.

A year ago, the couple started LBI in an effort to change the world in their lifetime, one person at a time. “How,” do you ask? Through life and leadership coaching using their signature program, The Missfit Quotient.

The Missfit Quotient curriculum helps people embrace and nurture their unique core through universal principles, groundbreaking concepts, and radical strategic intervention that gets results,” says Lance. “We’re focused on getting results for our clients for their success and that of their families.”

Lance and Lonoia, who hired their own life coach in the past, can personally attest to the benefits of coaching. “It puts healthy, motivational pressure on you to pursue and conquer your goals and dreams—all to become a better you. Organizations hire us to coach their staff to improve performance,” says Lonoia. “It’s interesting that I recently read an article on the increase in the number of young people who have coaches, and I’m not talking about for sports.”

Following his own professional experiences to build peak performance teams, Lance is also big on leadership. He started LBI after a 14-year career in various leadership and management roles within Fortune 500 and 100 companies. Previously, in the warehousing industry, Lance led his team to be number one in production and accuracy company-wide in the United States. He was considered to be one of the top supervisors nationwide within the organization, surpassing corporate goal expectations.

Lonoia helps develop LBI programs, including an impactful board game that will be released this fall. She has a background in public relations and former president/founder of a South Carolina-based scholarship foundation.

LBI offers life and leadership coaching as well as inspirational speaking services. The company was established in March 2010 in an effort to inspire people worldwide to live life on fire.
