LaDawn "LBJ" Blackett Jones Art Contest !!!

Representative LaDawn Blackett Jones art contest!

Representative LaDawn Blackett Jones believes that our children are the future and promotes growth and development through art. Thus, the LBJ team have launched an art contest for elementary students K-5 on the three themes-

  1. Why Government Is Important
  2. I Can Be Anything
  3. Black History Month

 

The contest aims to help students explore their creativity and instill civic engagement from children at a young age.

“Our art contest was created to begin educating our children about the process of reaching out to their elected officials at an early age. We hope to have great participation,” said Representative Jones. 

The student will have his or her artwork displayed in the office of Representative LaDawn Jones at The Capitol, receive a complimentary gift card for a free trip to Monkey Joe's and the parent of the student will receive a $50 gift card compliments of the office of Representative LaDawn Blackett Jones.

The art must be solely designed by the student include a phone number, mailing address and parent or teachers’ name, address, email address, mailing address, phone number and postmark by February 28, 2013 to:

Eligibility: Students must attend a school in District 62 (South Fulton)
