House Hunt: Homes With Disability Features, Easy Access

Homes that are handicapped accessible are in huge demand, mostly because Baby Boomers are getting older and times have changed. They are certainly not going straight to a nursing home after a few years of retirement, instead living active lives and maintaining social ties. There are two options available when the time comes: senior-oriented communities or customization andd upgrades to a traditional home. Senior communities are built with aging in mind - being handicapped accessible is a top priority, but, not everyone wants to live in one of these communities. Many prefer to customize a home to suit their individual needs.  House Hunt researched AOL Real Estate’s MLS listings and found some lovely homes in traditional neighborhoods described as being equipped with disability features and handicapped accessible.
