Last Chance Before Thanksgiving to Donate for Sheriff's Food Drive
The Douglas County Sheriff's Department is holding the food drive until Dec. 16 but food will be picked up tomorrow to distribute before Thanksgiving.
Faith in Action will be picking up this month's donation on Nov. 22 from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office so that they can distribute food before Thanksgiving. While you're picking up groceries for your own families, please remember to buy a few cans or containers of something (green beans, mac-n-cheese, cornbread mix) so that those less fortunate will have something for their tables as well.
The food drive, however, is being held until Dec. 16.
The Sheriff's Office lobby is always open and there a 'donation station' underneath the main staircase.
