All fund raisers are not created equal and the Douglas County Boys & Girls Club has elected again this year to make its annual end-of-year fund raiser a standout occasion. For a second year, the entire family can have fun together participating in a sport that is a true Southern tradition - an old-fashion clay shoot in the middle of a serene woodland paradise.
The Douglas County Boys & Girls Club is inviting young and old to come out to the Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club on Nov. 9, starting at 9.a.m. sharp. Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club located at 8000 Capps Ferry Road right outside Douglasville is one of the most beautiful and captivating locations available for an event of this type. Participants will be shooting clays on the 15 station course. In addition to family fun, participants will get to see some of the best marksman in the area doing what they do best and the clays don't mind a bit.
Proceeds from this event will support Douglas County Boys & Girls Club programs that continue to make a difference in the lives of the County's children. Those efforts create meaningful successes such as the 100 percent graduation rate of this year's senior members with 100 percent of those members going on to college! Event sponsors and participants make it all possible and this year sponsor opportunities are available at varying levels.
For a $2,500 donation a sponsor would receive two four-member teams with two premium four-person carts to maneuver the course, sponsor's name and/or logo prominently displayed as the Title Sponsor on the event banner, event web page and all event publications and an item giveaway. At the $1,000 level sponsors will receive one shoot team of four and one four-person cart, name and/or logo displayed on the event web page and publications and an item giveaway. At the $750 level two individual shooters will participate, that sponsor's name and/or logo will be displayed at one of the course's stations and this sponsor's name and/or logo will be displayed on the event web page and publications. If you would simply like to come out and be a part of this great event, four-person team prices are $500 or $125 for an individual shooter. All shooters will receive breakfast and lunch that day. Other sponsorship opportunities include Game Station sponsorship at $250 where your company will be prominently displayed and announced while many of the shooters enjoy skill games after lunch. In addition, for $100 your company name, campaign, or just a simple message of appreciation will be displayed on individual signage at one of the 15 shooting stations around the course.
Cart rentals are available for $75 as is gun rentals for $50. Carts are limited and reservations for their use are recommended. The tournament will provide ammunition for .12 and .20 gauge guns that day – based on advanced registration. Side games will be available for participants. No alcohol is allowed and participants and spectators will be required to wear eye and ear protection.
Whether a seasoned, expert marksman or a novice who doesn't know one end of a shotgun from the other, this clay shoot is an exciting way to spend a Saturday out in the crisp fall fresh air. More importantly, proceeds from this event will continue to make a difference in the lives of Douglas County's children and ultimately will make a difference in the lives of us all.
