Hershey, 'Will Smith' are Shelter Pets of the Week

There are currently 59 cats and 58 dogs at the Douglas County shelter.

Each week, the Douglas County Animal Shelter highlights a cat and a dog as the “Pets of the Week.” All animals at the Shelter are looking for loving and permanent homes, and it is hoped that the “Pets of the Week” highlight will help bring attention to all of the animals currently housed at the Douglas County Animal Shelter.

Hershey #10030 is as sweet as his name sounds. This handsome male American Pit Bull mixed breed has a smooth chocolate coat on the outside and a marshmallow center on the inside. Not too big and not too small, Hershey would make a great addition to the family.

Will Smith #9505 is a handsome male domestic short hair cat who has an unusual dark brown and tan tabby coat. He also has beautiful sea green eyes and would love to find a warm lap to curl up in.
