Breezy Adopted, Many Shelter Pets Still Available

Breezy, one of the shelter dogs at the Douglas County Animal Shelter, racked up two awards at the SHARE House Paws β€˜n Effect Dog Show on Oct. 19.

Breezy won third place for the look-alike contest and first place for mystery breed. Best guess on this once stray dog is that she is a miniature Irish Wolfhound mix. Breezy is one lucky dog. After winning two ribbons at the pet show, Breezy was adopted into a wonderful home.

While Breezy was very fortunate, Β there are still many wonderful dogs and cats at the Douglas County Animal Shelter waiting for a new, loving home.

The shelter is open for adoptions Tuesdays through Sundays beginning at 1 p.m. The shelter is closed on Mondays. The Douglas County Animal Shelter is located at 1755 County Services Rd. in Douglasville, just off Cedar Mountain Rd. and adjacent the landfill.Β
