Talent Hunt

Come one, Come all!!

The Mu Mu Mu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is seeking talented high school students (grades 9-12) with training and ability in music and the performing arts to participate in our annual Talent Hunt Competition.   The competition is scheduled for Sunday, September 8, 2013 at 6:00pm and the venue is GMKS and Beyond: Art Center, 2127 Fairburn Road, Suite F, Douglasville, GA 30315.
The first place winner will have an opportunity to represent the chapter at the statewide competition on Friday, October 11, 2013 at the Renaissance Waverly located at 2450 Galleria Pkwy SE Atlanta, GA 30339.  The top two finishers at the state level are eligible to compete at the District level in April 2014, and the District level winner advances to National competition.  Winners at the District and National Level are eligible for scholarship awards.  The Fraternity will pay expenses associated with competing at higher levels.

Categories for competition are dance, drama, and music.  Please note that the music category is limited to vocal and instrumental, classical, gospel, jazz and what is considered "middle of the road music”. Acceptable drama/speech presentations include poetry, readings, orations, and monologues.  Tap, ballet, modern dance and interpretative movement to music are acceptable in the dance category.
