When Does Early Voting Begin for Primary Runoffs?

Douglas County Elections Superintendent Laurie Fulton has announced that early voting for the July 22nd Primary Election Runoff will begin on Monday, June 30th.

Early voting will take place weekdays from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. in the Voter Registration Office, first floor, Douglas County Courthouse, 8700 Hospital Drive.  Early voting will continue through Friday, July 18th.

There will be no Saturday voting for the Primary Election Runoff.

Any registered voter can vote in the Primary Election Runoff.

  • If a person voted in the May 20th Primary, he/she must vote in the same Democratic or Republican Party Primary Runoff as they did on May 20th.
  • If a person did not vote in the May 20th Primary, he/she may vote in their choice of either the Democratic or Republican Party Primary Runoff.

Sample ballots for the Democratic and Republican Party Primary Election Runoffs are downloadable from the Elections and Voter Registration department page of the County web site at www.CelebrateDouglasCounty.com.

The Democratic Party Primary Election Runoff ballot contains only one race, that for the Democratic nominee for State School Superintendent.  The candidates are Alisha Thomas Morgan and Valarie D. Wilson.

The Republican Party Primary Election Runoff ballot contains two races:

  • Republican nominee for United State Senate, the candidates being J. H. “Jack” Kingston and David A. Perdue.
  • Republican nominee for State School Superintendent, the candidates being Michael L. “Mike” Buck and Richard L. Woods.

Early voting ends Friday, July 18th.  No voting will take place on Monday, July 21st.  All Douglas County precincts will be open from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22nd.
