Early Voting Open for July Run-Off

Registered voters in Douglas County can vote now for candidates in the July 22 primary run-off election.

Early voting opened Monday, June 30.

Voting is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday only in the Voter Registration Office in the Douglas County Courthouse, 8700 Hospital Drive. Early voting continues through Friday, July 18. There is no voting Monday, July 21.

The state laws note that any registered voter can vote in the July 22 primary run-off election. However, if a person voted in the May 20 primary, they must vote in the same party's primary run-off as they did on May 20. That means if you voted in the Democrat primary May 20, you have to vote in the Democrat run-off. If you did not vote May 20, you may vote in either the Republican or Democrat run-off.

Sample ballots are available through the state's MVP (My Voter Page) service. You must supply your name and other relevant information to obtain a sample ballot.
