Recycle Your Christmas Lights, Tree

Give a gift to the environment this Christmas by recycling your Christmas lights at the Douglasville City Hall, Hunter Park or Jessie Davis Park.

Look for large blue bins in the lobby of City Hall, Hunter Park, and Jessie Davis Park, and just outside the front doors of the Police Department marked with these signs. Place your old, broken, or unwanted Christmas lights in the bins for recycling. Bins will be available until Jan. 4, 2013.

The lights will go to NWGA Recycling here in Douglasville for recycling.Β

"We are hoping to make residents aware that many items can be recycling outside of your normal paper, plastic and aluminum," Chan Weeks said, Keep Douglasville Beautiful executive director.
