Orpheus: Camera Shy but Great Guy

This pet is available from Douglas County Animal Control and is in desperate need of a loving home.

Don't let the pictures fool you—Orpheus is a gorgeous black cat with a great personality. He just wasn't crazy about having his picture taken; he wanted to get down and get out of that shelter (he kept eyeing the window). Orpheus has a great personality and is very playful.  He'd make a great pet for any family.  He is a neutered adult male.

If you’re interested in this animal, please visit the at 1755 County Services Rd. (off Cedar Mountain Road). The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. It is closed Monday.

The adoption fee for all dogs and cats is $25. All pets are required to be spayed or neutered within six months of adoption. Yearly rabies vaccinations are also required. The Douglas County Animal Shelter can be reached by calling 770-942-5961. To learn about other animals available for adoption from Douglas County Animal Control, view its adoptable pet list.
