Douglas County is under a flash flood warning until 7:15 p.m.
Douglasville and Lithia Springs are part of the warning, according to an afternoon bulletin from the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
"Three to four inches of rain have fallen across the warned area," according to the bulletin.
The National Weather Service urges people to take the following precautions:
- Do not attempt to cross water-covered bridges, dips or low-water crossings.
- Never ty to to cross flowing stream—even a small one—on foot.
- To escape rising water, move up to higher ground.
