3 Arrested, 2 Still At-Large after High-Speed Chase

Darius Reid, 21, and Demarquez Mobley, 19, both of Atlanta, and another 16-year-old male juvenile led police on a high-speed case Wednesday afternoon that ended in an Interstate 20 crash.

Darius Reid, 21, and Demarquez Mobley, 19, both of Atlanta, and another 16-year-old male juvenile led police on a high-speed case Wednesday afternoon that ended in an Interstate 20 crash, according to Douglasville Police Chief Chris Womack. Three suspects were arrested and two fled on foot.

The suspects were originally spotted in the parking lot of Arbor Place Mall, Womack said. Patrols have been increased for the holidays. The car looked suspicious so officers ran the tag, finding that the car had been reported stolen.

The car, full of five suspects, was chased onto Interstate 20 and was forced to crash when police used a PIT Maneuver to stop the vehicle. A K-9 caught one suspect, two were caught by police and two fled.

Mobley was treated at WellStar Hospital for a dog bite and released.

"It's frustrating for us," Womack said. "Because they come from Fulton County and prey on our businesses and citizens here. We're gathering finger prints from the car and we will have them in custody sooner rather than later. It would be in their best interest to come to us and turn themselves in before we find them."

If you have information about these suspects or this case, call the Douglasville Police Department at 770-920-3010.

Aren't there any malls in their county to stalk/rob? Douglas County needs to throw the book at these guys. Make an example out of them! ...Give the rest of the creeps out there a reason to go somewhere else!

The Cobb Galleria is full of thieves during the Christmas holidays. A few years ago my daughters friend left the mall with her packages and stopped for gas. She was hit hard by the thief and her car with the gifts she had just purchased inside was stolen. There is crime at Arbor Place Mall also but they don't want people to know about it. My daughter was purchasing pots and pans and she was warned by the clerk to just go home and not do any other shopping because they watch you leave the store with your packages. if you put them in your car a return to the mall to do more shopping, they brake in and steal whatever you left in your trunk. There's a bunch of cowardly punks out there who have no problem hurting women. The police can only do so much. When you leave the mall, go straight home. Don't be a victim.

I bet the one with the bite won't come back to DC!

Angry that punks from other counties come here. They need to get a huge amount of time to serve and banned from this County for 50 years.!!

We noticed several times now men lingering at Macy's exit watching. Rather obvious. We wait to go out with crowd but won't go anywhere without pepper spray nowadays.
