3 Arrested, 2 Still At-Large after High-Speed Chase

Darius Reid, 21, and Demarquez Mobley, 19, both of Atlanta, and another 16-year-old male juvenile led police on a high-speed case Wednesday afternoon that ended in an Interstate 20 crash, according to Douglasville Police Chief Chris Womack. Three suspects were arrested and two fled on foot.

The suspects were originally spotted in the parking lot of Arbor Place Mall, Womack said. Patrols have been increased for the holidays. The car looked suspicious so officers ran the tag, finding that the car had been reported stolen.

The car, full of five suspects, was chased onto Interstate 20 and was forced to crash when police used a PIT Maneuver to stop the vehicle. A K-9 caught one suspect, two were caught by police and two fled.

Mobley was treated at WellStar Hospital for a dog bite and released.

"It's frustrating for us," Womack said. "Because they come from Fulton County and prey on our businesses and citizens here. We're gathering finger prints from the car and we will have them in custody sooner rather than later. It would be in their best interest to come to us and turn themselves in before we find them."
