Hail Storm: Where Were the Sirens?

Our neighborhood took quite a beating in last week's hail storm.  

As we watched the baseball-sized hail stones pummel our neightbor's new car, it was obvious the hail stones are deadly.

I couldn't help but wonder why Douglas County didn't bother to flip the switch to turn on the sirens and warn all of us of the deadly weather that was about to let us have it.  Our friends in Paulding County, who got pea-sized hail stones were warned by their county's sirens.
