September Saturdays a Success

There were bounce houses and funnel cakes, barbecue and displays by the sheriffs department and fire department

Those who made it by the county courthouse the past two Saturdays, had the opportunity to see the success of the 10th annual September Saturdays festival. County departments and vendors dotted every square inch of courthouse property with dozens of booths and static displays for families and children.Β

There were bounce houses and funnel cakes, barbecue and displays and demonstrations by the sheriffs department and fire department along with numerous other county departments including the Animal shelter.

It was a great opportunity for an all day outing with family. There were many presentations both Saturdays on the courthouse steps, honoring our veterans and our local police and fire personnel. Many local schools and others provided their choirs and other programs during each of the days and there was a free movie each night.

Hats off to Mr. Wes Tallon and his team for a very successful program of events each Sarurday of the festival and thank you to the Board of Commissioners for supporting the event and providing county residents the oppotunity to see and meet their country services providers and interact with them in a wonderful and family friendly atmosphere.
