Paws for a Cause

Many local dog lovers and rescues provided vendor activities and much to do for both the dogs and their owners.

The Paws for a Cause dog show was held at Deer Lick Park on Saturday and the turnout and community participation was very good. There were competitions for the best trick, most well behaved and disciplined and a celebrity look a like contest for the dogs, along with a dog/owner race and other activities that included a demonstration by the Sheriff's Office K-9 unit.

Many local dog lovers and rescue groups provided vendor activities and free presentations to the public and there was much to do for both the dogs and their owners who attended. This was the fourth annual Paws for a Cause event and it appears that everyone enjoyed theselves and it was a great success.

A big thank you to Shannon Weathers and to all involved in organizing and sponsoring the event for our community.Β
