July Is 1/2 Price Kitten Month at DCAC

The month of July is 1/2 price kitten month at Douglas County Animal Control. There are over 100 kittens to choose from and during the month of July, they are half price. That is just $17.50 to adopt one of these adorable kittens.

As an added special, each adopted kitten will receive a certificate for free spay or neuter from Southern Hope Society in cooperation with the LifeLine Project. (See attached flyer).

This is a unique opportunity to adopted a Kitten and obtain the spay or neuter at no additional charge! Come see the many beautiful kittens there are available to choose from at the shelter.These are all sweet kittens who deserve a chance at a forever home. Come see them today!

Please visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter this month, located at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road). The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. The shelter is closed to the public on Monday, but open to rescue organizations on Mondays. The summer months are the critical months to adopt and rescue, so please consider giving one of these dogs or cats a loving adn forever home.

Pet listings on these pages are updated daily, however, some animals featured may be adopted prior to your arrival and that after all is the goal. Adoption fees for dogs and cats at DCAC is $25 and there is a $10 micro chip fee. $35 for the opportunity to make a friend for life and the opportunity to give a fur kid a forever home is a small price to pay. All dogs presently receive intake inoculations for kennel cough, parvo and distemper (cats receive distemper as part of a five way vaccination). All pets adopted from the shelter are required to have their rabies shots and be spayed or neutered within thirty days of adoption, unless they are kittens or puppies and they are given extended times.
