Fuzzy Wuzzy

Fuzzy loves to have visitors and have the opportunity to go for walks and roll in the grass and play.

Fuzzy ID #5342

Fuzzy is an adorable little Terrier mix who came to the shelter on July 3rd as an abused dog. He was recently released to the shelter by the court and is now avaialble for adoption. Fuzzy appears to be 2-4 years old and presently he is about 20 pounds. He has not been neuterd. Fuzzy loves to have visitors and have the opportunity to go for walks and roll in the grass and play. Fuzzy was very emaciated and thin when he arrived and he still has weight to gain back. Fuzzy is a loving and adorable little guy who will steal your heart.  Come see him this week at DCAC.

If you are interested in adopting Fuzzy, or any of the many other beautiful and sweet dogs or cats that are available for adoption, please take the time to visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter located at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road) this week. The summer months are the critical months to adopt and rescue dogs and cats, so please consider giving one of these dogs or cats a loving and forever home.

Pet listings on each of these pages are updated daily; therefore, some animals featured may be adopted prior to your arrival at the shelter. That after all is the goal. If the pet you have seen promoted and are interested in has been adopted, please consider giving another of the many loveable pets an opportunity to be your forever friend. Come see them and allow them to show you just how special they each are once they are given a chance to be adopted.

Adoption fees for dogs and cats at DCAC is $25 and there is a $10 micro chip fee. $35 for the opportunity to make a friend for life and the opportunity to give a fur kid a forever home is a small price to pay.

All dogs presently receive intake inoculations for kennel cough, parvo and distemper (cats receive distemper as part of a five way vaccination). All pets adopted from the shelter are required to have their rabies shots and be spayed or neutered within thirty days of adoption, unless they are kittens or puppies and they are given extended time. The Douglas County Animal Shelter phone: 770-942-5961. If the line is busy, please keep trying as there is often limited staff to answer calls. However, messages left will be returned as time permits.
