Each of these dogs were placed on this weeks IN DANGER LIST at Douglas County Animal Control Yesterday afternoon. They are all sweet animals deserving of a forever home. If they are not adopted or rescued by 7 PM today, they risk being put down tomorrow morning for space. At least half of these dogs were on last week's list and at least half shown here will be put down if not adopted or rescued today. Please consider coming to the shelter today to have a look at these wonderful dogs and consider adopting one.
If you are interested in adopting one of these, or one of the many other beautiful and sweet dogs or cats that are available for adoption, please take the time to visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter located at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road) this week. The summer months are the critical months to adopt and rescue dogs and cats, so please consider giving one of these dogs or cats a loving and forever home.

Adoption fees for dogs and cats at DCAC is $25 and there is a $10 micro chip fee. $35 for the opportunity to make a friend for life and the opportunity to give a fur kid a forever home is a small price to pay.
All dogs presently receive intake inoculations for kennel cough, parvo and distemper (cats receive distemper as part of a five way vaccination). All pets adopted from the shelter are required to have their rabies shots and be spayed or neutered within thirty days of adoption, unless they are kittens or puppies and they are given extended time.
