Carla is Calling You

Carla came to the shelter on May 12 as a stray. She is a Jack Russell Terrier Beagle mix and just the right size for someone looking for a great little small dog. Carla likes to do all the things that small breeds do. She likes to chase balls and stay close by her person on walks. Carla is good with other dogs, calm in demeanor and good on a leash. Carla hasn't been spayed yet. Carla would be a great addition to any family lookig for a great little small dog with lots of love and tons of personality. Come see Carla today, she is calling to you and asking for a forever home.

If you’re interested in adopting Carla or any of the other dogs or cats, that are available, please visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter located at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road). The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. The shelter is closed to the public on Monday, but open to rescue organizations on Mondays.

Pet listings are updated daily, however, some animals featured may be adopted prior to your arrival and that after all is the goal. Adoption fees for dogs and cats at DCAC is $25 and there is a $10 micro chip fee. $35 for the opportunity to make a friend for life and the opportunity to give a fur kid a forever home is a small price to pay. All dogs presently receive intake inoculations for kennel cough, parvo and distemper (cats receive distemper) and all pets adopted from the shelter are required to have their rabies shots and be spayed or neutered within thirty days of adoption, unless they are kittens or puppies.
