Bryant Loves People

Bryant is a great little dog who only needs the chance to prove that he can be a special dog for any family.

Bryant is a great mixed breed male dog who came to the shelter as a stray. He loves people and he loves any opportunity to interact with people and play. He is approxiately two years old and approxiately 45 pounds. He gets along very well with people and other dogs and his tail constantly wags when he is with people.

Bryant is a great little dog who only needs the chance to prove that he can be a special dog for any family. Come see him this week at the shelter and let him show you how special he is.

If you are interested in adopting Bryant ot one of the many other dogs or cats that are available for adoption at the shelter, please take the time to visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter located at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road) this week, or view them on line.

Douglas County Animal Control maintains PetFinder listings on their website.

Or you can visit the Douglas County shelter pets in depth and with personal commentaries on individual animals by those who know them best. These photos are posted and profiled daily on volunteer pages at: Rainbow Connections on Facebook  Or our sister page at: Furbabies of DCAS on Facebook.

Pet listings on each of these pages are updated daily; therefore, some animals featured may be adopted prior to your visiting the shelter. Finding forever homes for these pets is the goal, so please consider giving another loving pet a home if the one you first saw has already been adopted. Come see these sweet dogs and cats and allow them to show you just how special they each can be once they are given a chance to be loved and have a home.

Adoption fees for dogs and cats at the shelter are $25 and there is a $10 micro chip fee. That means for $35 you have the opportunity to make a friend for life and the opportunity to give a homeless fur kid a forever home.

All dogs presently receive intake inoculations for kennel cough, parvo and distemper (cats receive distemper as part of a five way vaccination). All pets adopted from the shelter are required to have their rabies shots and be spayed or neutered within thirty days of adoption, unless they are kittens or puppies, Kittens and puppies are given extended time. The Douglas County Animal Shelter phone is: 770-942-5961. If the line is busy, please keep trying as there is often limited staff to answer calls. However, messages left will be returned as time permits.

To Mr Bill Adams.....there is no such thing as a MODERN Christian. You are either a Christain or youRead More are not. While we as Christians love the sinner we are not to love the sin nor are we to back those sinners who are committing a sinful act. We should, however, with love in our hearts try to win their souls for God and preach what the Bible teaches. Which by the way, the Bible tells us it is wrong and a sin for a man to lie with a man.

I wonder how many gay teens were in that audience, who felt horror at that standing ovation? HowRead More many stood next to the parents who didn't know it wasn't a choice, who were standing and applauding next to a child who was already so emotionally torn up inside with the thought of telling these parents they were gay?? How many of these teens will commit suicide rather than tell these parents? Good move church, who is supposed to be preaching forgiveness, understanding and give support to the needy. Who decides what emotion is needy? Feeling gay, or thinking about getting a divorce, or losing your job and needing help? I am not gay, but I wholly believe in living, and let live, and helping where you can with no judgment! This church should be ashamed of itself! This is exactly why I don't go to church, and worship in my own way. They are all a bunch of hypocrites and should be ashamed of themselves.

Well said! I agree wholeheartedly. For those that want to look up the scripture, it's in LeviticusRead More 18:22 and 20:13. God spells it out perfectly what you are and are not supposed to do. If God is against it, man should be against it too.
