OnBoard Announces Next OnBoard, New Division For Young Professionals

ATLANTA (Mar. 13, 2014) OnBoard is the leading authority on women in the boardroom of Georgia public companies and a catalyst to increase the number of female directors on public and private for-profit company boards. The organization is pleased to announce the launch of a new affinity program, Next OnBoard, to grow the pipeline of board-ready women in Georgia by engaging early- career professionals in OnBoard’s mission.

Next OnBoard will provide its members with opportunities to connect with current senior leaders and board members in Georgia, receive a greater understanding about board governance, and grow a network of accomplished peers. Next OnBoard advances OnBoard’s mission by identifying and involving motivated professionals early in their path to senior leadership.

“We at OnBoard are excited to invite the next generation of senior leaders to take part in our mission,” says Jackie Parker, Board President of OnBoard. “We believe that by discussing board governance with women professionals early in their career and offering the opportunity for them to calibrate their experiences with the career paths of senior leaders, we will see significant change in the number of female leadership in the years to come.”
