Harvester Christian Academy Announces the Appointment of the Athletic Director
Harvester Christian Academy (HCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Monique T. Jackson as our new Athletic Director. Jackson has degrees in Sports Management from Liberty University and Troy University. As a college basketball player for Liberty University, Jackson made four appearances with her team in the NCAA playoff tournaments. She has successfully coached volleyball and basketball at the high school and collegiate levels, including coaching her varsity men's basketball team to a district championship at Hollywood Christian School (Florida). Additionally, Jackson played one year for the Palm Beach Punishers, a semi-professional women's tackle football team based in Florida. Jackson comes to HCA from Sherwood Christian Academy in Albany, GA, which is a partner in ministry to Sherwood Pictures (Courageous, Fireproof, and Facing the Giants). Jackson has served for four years as an assistant athletic director at the varsity level.
Jackson's teaching experience includes physical education, Bible, personal fitness, yearbook, and SAT prep. She served in her local church as a Bible study leader and youth leader. Jackson is married and has two daughters. She emphasizes the importance of Christian character and academic excellence for each student athlete. In describing her most successful coaching experience, Jackson points to her success during her team's championship season. She did not discuss the winning record or the games she won, but the character of the players on the team and the relationships each developed with the Lord Jesus Christ.
The school board, administrators, and staff of Harvester Christian Academy are pleased to welcome Jackson to the HCA family as the Athletic Director. Under her leadership, the Hawks will continue to soar athletically as the school remains true to its mission to Train Minds to Lead and Hearts to Serve.
