The Douglas County Department of Transportation is currently accepting applications for a Signing & Marking Technician. The position is responsible for installing and maintaining traffic control devices, pavement markings and signs on county roads.
Candidates must:
- Be comfortable working outdoors and near traffic
- Be able to move and lift up to 100 pounds
- Be able to handle exposure to paint, propane, gas fumes and high noise levels
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Possess a valid Georgia driver’s license
- Pass a physical, drug screening, MVR record check and criminal background check.
Applications are currently being accepted until 4 p.m. on July 29, at the Douglas County Courthouse at 8700 Hospital Drive.
