Owner Steve Starnes and his staff celebrated the opening of West Georgia Wrestling Center in their recently renovated building with a ribbon cutting on Jan. 16. West Georgia Wrestling Center is located at 2625 Jason Industrial Parkway in Winston.

While West Georgia Wrestling Center has been open for eight months, their renovations on their location have recently been completed, providing local wrestlers with a state of the art training center. Their experience trainers and staff offer everyday training in freestyle, Folk and Greco wrestling techniques. While they do not have a wrestling team, their clients travel to regional and national competitions and return with many awards
and accolades.

Memberships are available as well as individual visits. The gym is open Monday through Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Douglas County Chamber President and CEO, Kali Boatright, congratulated Steve on behalf of the Chamber. “The Douglas County Chamber is proud to have you as a Chamber Member and will assist you in any way we can to help WGWC grow and thrive,” commented Boatright. “It’s a wonderful asset to our community and a great resource for children and young adults to maintain an healthy lifestyle!”
