Waffle House CEO Accused of 'Pattern of Sexual Harassment'

Joe Rogers Jr. is currently facing accusations of sexual harassment from an Acworth woman who once served as his house manager.

An Acworth woman has accused the Waffle House CEO, Joe W. Rogers Jr., of 100 incidents of sexual harassment during her time as his house manager.

Mye Brindle of Acworth said in recently unsealed documents that other women had been victims of Rogers' alleged "predatory sexual actions," according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Brindle's attorney David Cohen said Rogers exhibited a "pattern of sexual harassment and abuse," which could be a huge factor in the assistant's case if it goes to trial.

Rogers' attorneys are requesting information about the alleged additional victims.

Rogers first filed a suit against Brindle, 43, in September, claiming that she was trying to extort money from him with threats of releasing sex tapes she had made of the two together.

Brindle filed a suit of her own, denying Rogers' claim, and accusing him of sexual harassment.

Cohen said Brindle's letter to Rogers was a customary demand letter, not an attempt to extort money as Rogers' claims.

The details of the two cases were sealed until Wednesday.

This is not the first time the Waffle House CEO has faced allegations of sexual harassment from a former employee.

In 1998, a U.S. District court judge in Texas deemed that Rogers had known about wrongful conduct of top executives or had condoned it.

The court later awarded $8.1 to a former Waffle House recruiter. The ruling was later vacated and Cohen said it was due to an agreement of a settlement, not an overturning of the court's decision.
